Today (29th July) is International Tiger day!
The point of this day is not to raise money (although that is nice), but to raise awareness!
We have lost 97% of the tiger population in the last 100 years, dropping from 100,000 to 3200 (as of 2014 census). This is shit (sorry for the language). A combination of hunting and habitat loss are the greatest threats to these majestic cats, and it is important we are all aware in order to prevent their complete extinction (several tiger species have already become extinct).
So, celebrate your tiger shots, share them and share the awareness!
